With more than two decades of experience in patient care, education, and advanced clinical practice, Ashley Bailey brings a compassionate, evidence-based approach to her role as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Primary Care Plus+.

Ashley began her career in healthcare in 2000, working as a Nurse Assistant and later a Nurse Extern at Methodist Hospital in Henderson while completing her nursing education. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Henderson Community College in 2003 and went on to serve as a registered nurse in both medical/surgical care and home health, gaining valuable bedside and patient-centered experience.

In 2007, Ashley transitioned her talents to the classroom, joining Henderson County High School as a Health Science instructor in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department. Over 14 years, she not only taught future healthcare professionals but also served as an advisor for the student organization HOSA. During this time, she earned her Associate Degree in CTE, became a Rank I teacher, completed her RN-BSN at Murray State University, and continued clinical practice at Redbanks Skilled Nursing Facility.

While pursuing her nurse practitioner degree, Ashley also taught as an adjunct instructor at Henderson Community College, sharing her passion for healthcare with nursing students.

In 2021, she joined Owensboro Health’s Urgent Care team, providing timely and thorough care to patients of all ages. After earning her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Morehead State University in 2023, Ashley passed the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) exam on her first attempt, becoming a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C). She continued serving patients as an APRN in urgent care while also earning her Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Medical Examiner Certification, allowing her to perform DOT physicals and certify commercial drivers.

Ashley is committed to lifelong learning and providing care rooted in the latest evidence-based practices. She maintains American Heart Association CPR certification and has completed more than 130 hours of continuing education since becoming a nurse practitioner.

Outside of the clinic, Ashley enjoys a full and active life with her husband of more than 20 years, Brian, and their daughter, Kaityn. Much of their free time is spent supporting Kaityn in the equestrian world with her horse, Thomas. Ashley also loves reading, cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with her family.

James was raised in Evansville and graduated from North High School in 2003. He joined the Air Force and became an F-15 fighter jet mechanic stationed in Idaho and Alaska. Following his six years active duty, he moved back to Evansville and gained employment at Deaconess Cardiac Rehab while also completing courses towards a nursing degree at the University of Southern Indiana (USI). He earned his Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2014 and began employment as a Registered Nurse in Deaconess Emergency Department. James continued his education at USI and earned his Masters of Science in Nursing in 2018. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, he has been employed in both the Emergency Department and Primary Care settings. He joined Dr. Manley in April 2023.

James is married to Emily Stowers and has two sons, Luke and Liam. When he is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
